At Yoshukai Karate Fusion, we bring together the strength of traditional Japanese karate with the practicality of modern self-defense and high intensity energy of fitness training.
Instruction in YKF classes remain rooted in classical karate application, with emphasis on forms (kata), weapons training, and contact sparring. Students will train with traditional weapons including the bo, nunchaku, sai, tonfa, and samurai sword. Conditioning is also a key part of every class, and our style of contact sparring incorporates leg kicks, knees, and takedowns that develop real-world strength, control, and endurance.
